Summary / Abstract (Note) | Energy is the basic necessity for all living beings to survive on planet earth, and no one knows this better than human beings. We also know that energy reserves in the world are not infinite. The data on the quantum of energy reserves in different parts of the world, based on scientific research, and other reliable methods is, in one way, one of the factors, which can influence the concern of any nation on the availability of this resource, which is so crucial for the sound economic growth, and development of human beings. Those who possess this wealth in abundance as of now may not be concerned about its availability, but those who do not have in abundance, or who have very limited energy resources, or have sufficient resources but not enough to fuel the fast pace of growth and economic development and are hungry for more, are now more concerned about the affordability and security of energy reserves both within their own country as well as in nations which are the producers of this vital resource. |
