Some refer to him as Japan's Wallenberg. He is one of the best-known and revered citizens of Japan of the 20th century, who was honored by Israel's government with the title "Righteous among the Nations." Scholarly conferences devoted to Chiune Sugihara are being held; there are also films and books about him. |
