Summary / Abstract (Note)The year 2014 witnessed two PM summits, once in January when Japanese PM Shinzo Abe was in New Delhi and again in September. PM Modi’s visit to Japan in 2014 was in continuation of India-Japan annual PM level summit that is held since 2006. PM summit is one of the important mechanisms for conducting India’s bilateral relations with Japan. It was first time that Japanese could see a new Indian PM, other than Man Mohan Singh, during summits.
