Summary / Abstract (Note) | The Indian Air Force (IAF) will now receive 36 Dassault Rafale ‘Omni-Role’ combat aircraft, the first of which is expected to arrive in 2017, once a formal contract is signed with Dassault Aviation. There is general agreement that the government-to-government approach was the best way to proceed with a deal that had been in limbo for quite some time. |
