Title Proper | Energy interdependence as a strategic factor in the post-cold war context |
Language | ENG |
Author | Ganguli, Sreemati |
Summary / Abstract (Note) | Energy, as a resource, has been considered only as a factor of complex geopolitical rivalries and geo-economic calculations globally. This article, on the other hand, attempts to analyse a parallel trend in the post-Cold War international scenario, a trend that shows how energy gains global relevance as a vector of alliance and a link for interdependence, and how economic and environmental challenges have become the compelling factors to push competitors to turn into allies and partners. |
