Summary / Abstract (Note)Market based mechanisms under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) have gone on from according flexibility to becoming one of the main tools for mitigation action. In December 2015 at Conference of Parties-21, governments of the world came together to decide on the post-2020 Architecture For Multi-lateral action towards combating climate change by reaching an agreement by submitting their intended nationally determined contributions (INDC’s).
