Summary / Abstract (Note) | The primary purpose of law is to provide security. While national laws, or municipal laws as they are called, have evolved in content and sophistication to aspire to cover a wider gamut of human life such as social and economic development, international law has struggled to keep pace. Despite an explosion in laws regulating various aspects of international affairs, maintaining peace and security remains its primary and most challenging preoccupation. This paper deals with dispute settlement mechanisms and India-Pakistan disputes. |
