Summary / Abstract (Note) | The reunification of Russia and Crimea led to the most serious decline in Russia's relations with the United States and NATO in recent history. The events in Crimea prompted NATO to intensify its military activities in Eastern Europe--a trend that continues to this day. It is therefore necessary to examine this process to determine the nature of the military threats it poses to Russia's national security. |
