Summary / Abstract (Note) | This article analyzes the process of Christianization in Taiwan and in Greater China. The reasons for its intensity change in various periods, compared to similar processes in Southeast Asia (Singapore). The authors examine aspects of the Taiwanization and Sinofication of Christianity, along with the choice of languages for Christian masses. They consider long-term problems of relations between Mainland China and the Vatican that inevitably concern Taiwan, as well as the prospect of the emergence of a "catacomb" Catholic Church in Hong Kong. |
