Language | ENG |
Author | Turner, Brian |
Summary / Abstract (Note) | Ancient authors frequently refer to Roman victories as bloodless or as having been achieved without the loss of a single Roman soldier. Modern scholars have tended to dismiss such claims as propaganda or have not fully explored the history or consequences of such celebration.
