Since childhood, she has resisted and documented Israeli settler takeovers of Palestinian homes—including her own family’s—in the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. In May 2021, the story of her community, which has experienced settler violence for decades, became a driving force in the mobilization of thousands of people in Palestine and across the world that culminated in what came to be known as the Unity Uprising. |
