Summary / Abstract (Note)Defence Cooperation has been a basic component of Indo-US partnership as this has both strategic and economic shared interests, in light of the democracy based philosophy of the two nations. This article features the collaborations and way forward between the two countries and discusses the advancing Indio-US defence relationship and the way forward. It subtleties the obstructions, which require substantial activity from the two sides. From an Indian point of view, while the government has made significant strides towards strategy advancement, more needs to be done to bring the procurement process in line with best global practices which will facilitate ‘Ease of Doing Business’ as well as cut down procurement timelines.
