India and South Korea keeps a deep relation since India gets independence in 1945. India played an important role in South Korean affairs due to its engagement in shaping the administrative structures and holding elections. But the bilateral relationship initiated much later in early sixties and a formal diplomatic relation began since then between the countries. Since then, the economic and trade issues were significant in shaping the relationship between two progressive countries. Both the countries have established a strong foundation for their political and economic relationship and have taken numerous efforts in strengthening their different aspects of bi lateral relations.
