Summary / Abstract (Note) | The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Govt. of India is providing supports for Hydrogen Energy Research Development and Demonstration (R&D) programme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched National Green Hydrogen Mission in 2021 which is going to help India with a quantum leap in terms of climate in the field of green hydrogen. The union budget of India 2021-22 allocates Rs.1500 crore for renewable energy development including hydrogen. Mr R K Singh, Union Minister, New and Renewable Energy believes that the green hydrogen could play a critical role in meeting India’s growing energy needs, decreasing our dependence on energy imports, and healing the environment. India plans to become a green energy and green ammonia leader. |
