Summary / Abstract (Note)The global negotiations on climate change over the course of many decades have been marred by a lot of disputes and adherence to parochial national interests by the respective countries .With these kinds of contrasting viewpoints and opposite stands, the solution to the much sensitive and urgent issue of climate change remains either postponed or halfhearted. The result is that those who have been least responsible for creating the crisis are most at risk from its ravages(Rayner, S. and Malone, E. (eds.) 1998).At the Stockholm+50 Conference held on 2nd of June 2022; the United Nations Secretary General (UNSG) Antonio Guterres commented about the rising global climate emergency that ‘We face a triple planetary crisis.
