Summary / Abstract (Note)AT THE recent summit in Bratislava of the Bucharest Nine (B9), on June 6, 2023, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis declared Russia to be the primary threat to Euro Atlantic security.1 The B9 is a group composed of Romania, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, formed in 2015 under the watchful eye of their American keepers. The State Department and the Pentagon have representatives present at all of the group's gatherings.
