Summary/Abstract |
The Republic of Belarus occupies the western periphery of geopolitical Eurasia, by which I mean the post-Soviet space, and is fairly far removed from Central Asia. This distance, however, does not mean that Belarus is safely protected from the security threats emanating from the Central Asian region, and, on the whole, Inner Eurasia. The Belarusian expert community is not indifferent to these problems. Belarus has preserved its military and strategic importance for Russia within the categories of European confrontation of the previous period. Today, it is consistently and actively involved in military integration within the CSTO. The armed forces of Russia and Belarus are tied together by the so-called coalition approach. Civilian and military experts of the Republic of Belarus are studying the hypothetical possibility of its involvement, at the technical level, in the Collective Rapid Reaction Force of the CSTO if and when NATO pullout of Afghanistan sends waves of instability across Central Asia.

Summary/Abstract |
AN INFLUENTIAL group of supporters has formed around expensive military projects, including missile defense projects. This group actively promotes the interests of both individual manufacturers and the program as a whole. The fact that information on US military policy is openly accessible to legislative and executive authorities, research centers, and the media reduces the power of unilateral lobbying in the interests of the military-industrial complex and individual state agencies.

Summary/Abstract |
The article examines the influence of the Third Compensation Strategy of the Pentagon, one of the major American military and technological concepts being implemented since 2014, on the development of China's Missile Forces. A specific feature of this strategy is its orientation to containment of China, above all, with due account of the strong and weak aspects of China's industrial and military potential. It is implemented against the background of the systematically growing possibilities of the PRC in the nuclear containment of the United States. The influence of this strategy on the development of Chinese Missile Forces can also be reflected on the prospects of the American-Russian dialogue in the sphere of arms control.
