Summary/Abstract |
Israeli nuclear programme is considered a matter of extreme
sensitivity and prime national interest domestically. Very few people have been
able to openly talk and objectively write on the Israeli nuclear programme in
Israel as well as the US. As a result, the subject is rarely approached by
scholars from an academic viewpoint, probably in an attempt to avoid being
labelled as anti-Semitic. Such problems create difficulties in evaluating Israeli
nuclear programme because a lot of research on the subject is either based on
conspiracy theories prevailing about the issue or a narrow subjective
interpretation of the Tel Aviv’s official position.
