| Summary / Abstract (Note) | The international environment as a whole will help build better Sino-Japanese ties in 2009, but there are still some noteworthy contradictions and problems between China and Japan due to the still vulnerable bilateral relations. Japan is in political instability. China and Japan have to cope with the test of the global financial crisis. How to turn the year 2009 into a year of pragmatic cooperation and improved people to people relations between both nations will be a common task for the two governments. |
