Summary / Abstract (Note) | When viewed as an aggregate, US and allied nation air assets in Afghanistan have the appearance on an immense international air show. A large number of fixed and rotary-wing combat and support aircraft reside and operate there, and they do so in an airspace that is sufficiently versatile for the study, training and execution of air assets as means for countering insurgencies and battling terrorism. |
