Summary / Abstract (Note) | One does not have to labour too much over the fact that South Asia is the poorest region in the world with the greatest incidence of poverty, and is just ahead of a handful of Sub-Saharan African countries like Chad and Burkina Faso. South Asia also has the highest density of population against the great killers of mankind like Malaria and HIV. |
