Summary / Abstract (Note) | By all means, this was a remarkabel victory of Congress. The party not only increased its seats, but also garnered more support from all corners of the country. It was not just a matter of chance that congress improved its tally in one or two states. However, it would be too early to say that there was a national wave in favour of congress and that this election indicates the begining of an end of coalition governments. |
