Summary / Abstract (Note) | As far as inter-service allocation is concerned, despite fluctuations in the respective shares of the three services in the defence budget, the Army still accounts for the largest share, followed by the Air Force and the Navy. However, in past two decades up to 2008-08, the army has witnessed a decrease in its share in the overall budget, whereas the Navy and Air Force have increased their respective shares. |
