Summary / Abstract (Note)The objective of this paper is to examine whether rural people of India depends more on the private healthcare tratment or not and in the era of declining public expenditure in the healthcare and privatization what the different types of financial avenues are available to them to meet the expanding healthcare cost. Another objective is to show how health insurance can help to meet the catastrophic healthcare expenses.
