Summary / Abstract (Note) | Armen Oganesyan, editor-in-chief of International Affairs: Sergei Alekseevich, before starting our conversation, I would like to draw your attention to this format which is somewhat unusual for International Affairs. Today questions can come to you not only from the editor-in-chief but also from listeners to the Voice of Russia radio* who take interest in Russian-U.S. relations and Russia's foreign policy especially its U.S. policy. So, in late June a Russian-U.S. summit will be held. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev submitted a new strategic arms reduction treaty, signed in April, to the State Duma for ratification, asking the MPs to do all they can to ensure that the document is ratified simultaneously with the United States. It is difficult to think of a period in the past decade when Russian-U.S. relations would be so intense. Are you satisfied with the dynamics of our relations? |
