| Summary / Abstract (Note) | The author discusses the underlying disparities between the current status of the missile and artillery forces, the theory and practice of their employment, and the general trends in military art evolution, argues for the need of a comprehensive approach to be applied to assessing the combat capabilities of this arm of the service, and puts forth a key idea of a scientific and methodological mechanism to be developed for a comprehensive assessment of the arm's combat capabilities as a basis for selecting the most rational method of combat employment of missile and artillery forces in an operation or an operational assignment in a specific situation. |
