Summary / Abstract (Note) | UNEXPECTEDLY FOR MANY, China in a historically short period of time made quite a "great leap forward" and became one of the leading powers. How come a seemingly backward country for decades suddenly turned out to be the world's second largest economy? In actual fact, we observe the natural result of a well-thought-out systemic policy of Chinese authorities and the hard work of hundreds of millions of PRC citizens over 30 years of reforms. In spite of the burden of serious problems with which the country was and is still faced in its development, China continues to follow the path of development and modernization. |
