Summary / Abstract (Note)International Affairs: Mikhail Valentinovich, in May 2012, you became the head of the Russian diplomatic mission in the Kingdom of Denmark. So, what are the most vivid early impressions of your job in Denmark and where do you see its main challenges?
M. Vanin: My most vivid impressions of my early work days in Denmark stem from the meetings and talks I had with Danes - politicians, diplomats, members of business circles, journalists and ordinary citizens, each of whom is a bearer of the Danish national character, which wins you over with its openness, an active stance in life and a genuine interest in what an interlocutor is saying.
