Title ProperFormation of groups of forces to fulfill combat missions in network-centric warfare
LanguageENG
AuthorDonskov, Yu Ye ;  Fomin, V V ;  Matveyev, D S
Publication2012.
Summary / Abstract (Note)The authors explore the specifics of network-centric combat operations and advance formal methods to adequately describe (represent) participating groups of forces and their basic elements (components). They put accent on describing the groups of forces as a combination of three basic components - a single information environment, a single functional environment, and a single action environment. They demonstrate that their approach gives the greatest possible flexibility and structural and functional adaptability to the groups of forces put together on network-centric principles, in accordance with their assigned (modified) tasks and the objectives of the operation, changes in the operational-tactical situation, and the conditions in which they conduct combat operations.
