Summary / Abstract (Note) | The article presents information on the prospects of the integrated battlefield that provides superiority in weapons systems efficacy through the use of advanced sensors and the rapid distribution of information to each position within a theatre of operation. It is stated that since achieving coalition interoperability remains difficult, armed forces are eager to field network-enabled technologies. The move is seen as a pre-requisite for a true force-wide integrated battlefield. |
