LanguageENG
AuthorDobbs, Michael J.
Publication2012.
Summary / Abstract (Note)The article offers information on the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine, SSBN(X), which the U.S. Navy should redesign, which is set to begin retiring in 15-years. According to the Deputy Assistant Chief of U.S. Naval Operations for Integration of Capabilities and Resources, James McCarthy, it is difficult to figure out how one-third of the shipbuilding budget could go to a single ship-a-year program for a decade, and the rest of the shipbuilding will survive while building SSBN(X).
