Summary / Abstract (Note) | In the context of globalization and post cold war order, the new power shift from unipolar world order of US dominance moving towards the Asian direction is looming large posing a question mark on the traditional realist theories and enhancing the new post-realist understanding of international relations. Observing the behavior of states in the international level at large, it is interesting to note the frequent changes of moods that occur continually on the basis of a state's convenience in safeguarding its national interest. The ideological factor which in fact had always been a strong element of states in the cold war period seems to have slowly dissipated. |
