Summary / Abstract (Note)The World Health Organization (WTO) declared on 8 August that the Ebola virus disease (EVD) outbreak in West Africa was "an international emergency" since the outbreak began, more than 1800 cases of EVD have been identified (Including new, confirmed, probable, and suspected cases) in Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone of which more than 1000 produced fatalities
