Summary / Abstract (Note) | The author analyses events in North Korea since the country’s new leader Kim Jong Un came to power, and the change made in its democratic and foreign politics. Much attention is given to the changes in the higher echelons of ruling cadres, including the commanders of the armed forces. New aspects of Pyongyang’s approaches to the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula are noted, and North Korea’s relations with China and Russia are examine briefly. |
