Other Title Informationrealty vs. rhetoric- the ways ahead
LanguageENG
AuthorParida, Pradip Kumar
Summary / Abstract (Note)This paper tries to examine various issues related to diplomacy in general and economic diplomacy in particular with specific reference to India in the contemporary world. In recent times, many scholars, international relations pundits have talked a lot about the India’s future economic diplomacy as well as ways to achieve these points. However this paper argues let us not simply talk about the rhetoric rather than accomplish something which is based on reality, our current economic situation and available options before us. As a matter of fact, our domestic compulsion and national interest will definitely play a crucial role. Taking those issues as the base line, we should start preparing ourselves to mould our diplomacy in general and economic diplomacy in particular, in such a way, that will give us immense benefit in the long run, particularly in economic sphere. For that we have to start the journey from home. Once we stabilize ourselves internally, probably we can move beyond our territory in a smooth manner.
