Title ProperPalestine question and the Indian nationalist discourse
LanguageENG
AuthorRoy , Pradipta
Summary / Abstract (Note)We’ is often constructed and characterised on the basis of ‘What We are Not’—the ‘Other’. Consolidation of the ‘self’ is done through the construction of the Xenophobia within the society. Nationalism; be it ethnic or political, be it in India or in West Asia; arises to protect or emancipate ‘we’ from the ‘Other’ or ‘Outsider’. Needless to say, the definition and preconditions of being ‘we’ and ‘outsider’ is determined by the elites of the concerned community and becomes the narrative for the entire community.
