Title ProperIndia–Afghanistan strategic relations in the post-Taliban period
LanguageENG
AuthorJha, Rajan
Summary / Abstract (Note)Rajan Jha elucidates both the "old" Great Game between Britain and Russia and the "new" one between the US and the Russian Federation since the 1990s. He also states that although the India–Afghanistan relationship goes back to ancient times, in the current era it has been complicated by the presence of Pakistan. However, New Delhi and Kabul have forged a strategic partnership that could be enhanced by their growing participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
