Summary / Abstract (Note) | The Asian Affairs Journal is 100 years old this year. This article charts the history of the Journal from its origins in 1914 as the regular journal of the Central Asian Society (later the Royal Central Asian Society and then the RSAA). It discusses the Journal's origins, its relationship with the RSAA, its developing role and form as the interests of the Society changed and developed in reaction to the two World Wars and the decline of Empire, and looks at some of the contributors of the Journal in its earlier period. |
