| Summary / Abstract (Note) | WE AND LATIN AMERICA is a book by the prominent expert in Latin American studies Leonard Kosichev, which deals with Russians in Latin America and Latin Americans in Russia, and the ties between our countries ab initio to the present day. The author utilizes a down-to-earth manner to talk about people, thanks to whom Russians and Latin Americans got to know one another better. They were representatives of two different worlds, who stood out from the crowd. Many of them were seafarers, travelers, scientists, diplomats, cultural figures, expatriates, volunteers who participated in the liberation struggle in Latin America, and simply adventurers. As the topic of the book is fairly wide, the author selected the most significant and interesting facts. Hence, the subtitle of the book is Selected Chronicles of Different Times.
