| Summary / Abstract (Note) | The issue of climate change has become a universal phenomenon. From Africa to Asia and Latin America, the era of climate wars has begun. Extreme weather is breeding banditry, humanitarian crisis, and state failure. (Parenti, 2011). The fact of global warming is not in question and that its consequences for the world we live in will be disastrous if left unchecked. (Gore, 2006). We should take into account the fact that dwindling resources, massive population shifts. natural disasters. spreading epidemics, drought, rising sea levels, plummeting agricultural yields, crashing economies and political extremism. |
