Summary / Abstract (Note)The aim of this article is to underscore the global climate change impact and the beginning of anthropocene by looking at the human – environment relationship through the anthropological perspective. By using a cultural approach to the study of human–nature relationship, the aim is not only to understand the circumstances leading to anthropocene but also to touch upon the nuances of environmentalism and sustainable development debate in contemporary times.
