Summary / Abstract (Note)At a press conference on June 20, 2016, specially organised to brief journalists
about the achievements of the NDA government in last two years, the Minister
for External Affairs, Smt. Sushma Swaraj (while responding to a specific
query regarding India-Nepal relations), said that the ‘misunderstanding’ that
had surfaced with Nepal last year had ended with the visit of the Nepalese
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to New Delhi.1
The minister added, ‘I am not
saying this; Oli himself said that it (misunderstanding) has ended’.
