Summary / Abstract (Note) | This author considers Wang Yanan's contribution to the development of Chinese economic thought during the Republican period. The author analyzes the idea of creating "Chinese economic science," proposed by the scholar in the 1940s, and his assessment of classical political economy and Marxism. The theoretical foundations of Wang's criticism of non-Marxist currents in Chinese economic science in the first half of the 20th century are studied.
