Peace eludes the state as large scale violence, killings, blasts and uprisings dominate the scene severely affecting daily lives of the people. With the dramatic rise in infiltration from across the border coupled with internal resentment against some of the policies and actions of the ruling regime, Kashmir remains on the edge. The efforts of the Indian government, both political and military, have failed to restore peace and normalcy in Kashmir. |
