Summary / Abstract (Note) | India’s experiences with state sponsor terrorism, like other countries in the South Asian region, can also be broadly divided into external and internal terrorism. External largely covers state sponsor terrorism, concerns with “cross-border terrorism” perpetrated by Indian neighbouring countries especially terrorist groups based in Pakistan with connections to Al-Qaeda. More recently, the appearance of support groups based in Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka has resulted in the spread of terrorism from specific locale to urban centres in India. |
