Divided into three parts: i) the Post-Cold War period, 1990 - 2000, (ii) the post 9/11 period- 2000-2009, (iii) Lisbon and the Global Strategy: the way ahead, 2009- it locates how the in the backdrop of global security developments, the EU has responded to the changing nature of threats to transform itself into a security actor. |
