Summary / Abstract (Note)Johan Galtung is a Norwegian sociologist, mathematician, and the principal founder of peace and conflict studies. In 1993, he founded TRANSCEND, a network for Peace and Development. A living classic of neo-Marxism, Norwegian sociologist and mathematician, who is credited for predicting in 1980 the fall of the Berlin Wall (and eventually of the Soviet Union), and in 2009, the demise of the U.S. empire by 2020, is sharing his views on the lessons of the Russian Revolution, the future of the left idea, prospects of Donald Trump's "supermarket revolution," and the relevance of the Big Data for running the state and society.
