| Summary / Abstract (Note) | The article analyzes the resources of Chinese businessmen in the countries along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. The author assesses the numerical strength of the Chinese diaspora (huaqiao) and analyzes the capital, number, and employment of huaqiao and PRC companies in 22 countries through which the MSR-21 will pass. The article emphasizes the direct dependence of huaqiao participation in the MSR-21 on the Chinese leadership's policy. |
