Summary / Abstract (Note)This article considers the future development of North Korea's nuclear missile program, along with the possibility of a US-DPRK confrontation on the Korean Peninsula. We describe the former's influence on the national interests of Russia and China, and on the situation in the region. We emphasize that the threats stemming from North Korea's nuclear missile program and strategy in the region could be curbed through joint efforts by Russia and China, with support from the United Nations and the world community.
