Title ProperChinese checkers? Bangladesh, Myanmar and Nepal to China
LanguageENG
AuthorNarayanan, Raviprasad
Summary / Abstract (Note)A noteworthy aspect of China’s growing centrality to global politics are the methodologies the country adopts when deepening its influence with smaller countries. Whether they are countries of Africa, South America or Asia, Chinese influence, in economic terms to begin with, is increasing year after year. China’s growing influence is a rather new slant in international geopolitics where the inconsistencies of the past – the Cold War and the two world wars of the 20th century - are now increasingly being replaced by newer expressions, especially the rise of China in economic and strategic terms.
